Key Features & Deliverables
  • Converted a static HTML/Vercel prototype into a fully editable multi-page WordPress site.

Case Study Overview

01. The Challenge & Problem Statement

The client had a static HTML prototype hosted on Vercel with no CMS, meaning no way to edit content, swap images, or manage sections without a developer. The site also lacked a working donation flow, a way for partners to reach out, and any real page structure — everything lived on one page with placeholder content and no clear information architecture.

02. Technical Architecture & Solution

Rebuilt the static HTML site as a fully editable WordPress site on Hostinger, replacing the display fonts with more readable classic typography, and restructuring content into dedicated pages: Home, About, Our Work (Activities), Global Impact, Team, Updates (blog), and Contact. Connected the donation call-to-actions site-wide to the client's live GoFundMe campaign, and built a Contact page with a working inquiry form routed to the client's email along with a direct partners & collaborations mailto link. Replaced placeholder imagery with the client-supplied images from their shared drive, kept the original waterdrop logo mark, and added an Instagram link in the footer. Through a follow-up revision round, added an extra "coming soon" activity card to both the Home and Our Work activity grids, an additional highlight box on the Updates page, and swapped image positions under "Our Work" per client feedback.

03. Measurable Impact & Business Outcome

Delivered a live, fully client-editable WordPress site at freshstartboca.org with working donation and contact flows, structured multi-page navigation, impact stats (lives impacted, funds raised, campaigns run), and a activities/campaign feed — replacing a static single-page prototype with a maintainable site the student team can update on their own.

Technical Stack Breakdown

Frontend Engine

Elementor-built page layouts (hero with impact stats, problem/statistics section, campaign cards, activity grid with a standing 'more coming soon' card) with classic readable typography replacing the original display fonts, and a consistent off-canvas mobile navigation.

Backend Service

WordPress core hosted on Hostinger, migrated from a static HTML/Vercel prototype, with page-based content structure (Home, About, Our Work, Global Impact, Team, Updates, Contact) for independent client editing.

Database & Storage

Standard WordPress MySQL schema for pages, media (client-supplied images replacing placeholders), and blog/updates posts.
